Privacy policy
This site is designed to collect as little as possible. Here is exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and how to make us delete it.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, an email address and/or WeChat ID, optionally where you're travelling from, and whatever you write in the message field. We also store the submission time, a shortened one-way hash of your IP address (for abuse prevention — the address itself is not stored), and your browser's user-agent string.
- Chat assistant: the messages you type are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer. Don't include personal or medical details you wouldn't put in an email — the assistant doesn't need them, and for anything personal you should talk to the coordinator instead. We do not use chat messages for advertising, and we do not link them to your contact-form submission.
- No ad trackers. This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics scripts.
What we do with it
- We use your contact details to reply to your enquiry. That's the purpose.
- We share your details with our partner clinic only if you ask to be referred (for example, for a remote pre-assessment or a consultation booking) — and we'll say so when we do it.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Where it lives
Lead submissions are stored in our private database, accessible only to the coordinator team. Email conversations live in our email account (connect@connectshanghai.com).
Deletion and access
Email connect@connectshanghai.com from the address you used (or message us on WeChat from the same account) and ask. We'll delete your submission and correspondence, confirm when it's done, and — if your details were shared with the clinic at your request — tell you so you can also ask the clinic directly. You can likewise ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
Health information — a caution
Details about hair loss and health are sensitive. Our advice: keep what you share on the website to a minimum, and save specifics for the coordinator conversation, where you know exactly who you're talking to and why.
