Who is a good candidate
By age (best results at 35–65)
- 35+: mild-to-moderate sagging, deepening nasolabial folds, descending cheek fat, early marionette pouches
- 45+: severe laxity, blurred jawline, sagging cheeks, pronounced marionette lines, energy-device treatments no longer working
By symptoms (where improvement is greatest)
- Descended cheek ("apple") fat, midface collapse and laxity
- True nasolabial folds, deep marionette lines
- Pouches at the mouth corners
- Blurred jaw border, face and neck merging into one
- Horizontal neck lines, platysma laxity
- Repeated energy-device/Thermage treatments with fading, ever-shorter results
- Thin skin, severe collagen loss, wanting long-lasting results
People for whom a facelift suits especially well
- Laxity-dominant faces without much fat (the most natural, refined results)
- People who don't want yearly device sessions — one procedure, many years
- Faces that look "collapsed, dropped, scattered" — beyond fine lines
Contraindications
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Hypertension or unstable blood-sugar control
- Clotting disorders or long-term anticoagulant use
- Acute facial inflammation, severe acne infection
- Keloid-prone / severe hypertrophic-scar constitution
- Significant anxiety or unrealistic expectations
